AVP, Technology Practice Leader (Finance)
Chubb is seeking a Regional Technology Underwriting Manager - supporting the Southwest Region
Position responsibilities:
The candidate will operate as part of the Commercial Insurance (CI) Property & Casualty team with leadership responsibilities for profitable growth and staff performance and development of 3-4 branch Underwriters for a $ 40MM Core Commercial Package, Work Comp, Auto, International, E&O/Cyber, and Umbrella/Excess within our Technology Industry Practice. Working with branch Underwriters and peer colleagues inclusive of the Western Underwriting Center shared book portfolio, jointly managed with direct influence from the local branch team.
This role is inclusive of day to day responsibility for underwriting resources allocation, achievement of profit and identification and delivery of unique local initiatives for growth. Strong marketing and communication skills will be required for both staff and producer development. This individual will support the Southwest Region Technology Industry Practice in premium budget execution, monthly premium projections, internal referrals, external joint marketing with staff and driving customer group business plans for Middle Market Industry practices and lines of business. The individual will also manage a personal agency assignment with a $5M - $7M renewal book of business and new business production of $1.2MM.
Candidate should have a proven reputation for underwriting acumen, marketing and business planning skills to execute the CI business plan.
