Solutions Architect - Data & Analytics (Finance)

If so, we want to speak with you!We are actively recruiting a Solutions Architect - Data & Analytics to join our team in Richmond VA, or we are open to remote work arrangements. Must be willing to travel as needed, approximately 40-50% This role leads the design and implementation of scalable, efficient data architectures across functions like Source-to-Pay, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, and Sales, driving initiatives that support revenue growth and supply chain optimization.
What you'll be doing:
Data Architecture Strategy:
  • Develop and implement an overarching data architecture and data management strategy that aligns with business goals and supports enablement of AI in the entire data lifecycle.
  • Design data models, schemas, and structures to optimize data accessibility, availability, and performance.
Data Engineering and Platform Design:
  • Lead the development of scalable, reliable, and flexible data platforms that accommodate current and future business needs.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to build a cohesive and efficient platform ecosystem.
  • Leverage cloud-based solutions to architect data platforms that take advantage of scalability and cost-effectiveness.
Management of ABS - Managed Service Providers (MSPs):
  • Efficiently delegate and oversee MSPs to ensure the delivery of data and analytics solutions.
  • Clearly define acceptance criteria for each deliverable to assess quality and performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data and platform solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences, communicating architecture decisions and progress effectively.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data architecture and management.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in data solutions to support business objectives like revenue growth and supply chain optimization.
We want you to have:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with 5+ years' experience in data architecture, platform design, and implementation.
  • Strong AI knowledge; expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.
  • Skilled in ETL tools, data integration, and pipeline design; proficient in Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and strong experience with Databricks.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Databricks) preferred.
  • Experience leading data architecture and engineering for business functions (Source-to-Pay, Finance, Procurement, Marketing, Sales) with familiarity in enterprise revenue growth management and end-to-end supply chain logistics, preferred.

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $133,600.00 - $193,750.00.
