The Discount Program Market Development Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and expansion of discount programs designed to drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth. This role ensures that all discount programs align with the company's goals while meeting market demands and delivering measurable results. The Supervisor leads a team, collaborates with cross-functional departments, and builds partnerships with external stakeholders to optimize program performance and drive customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for supervising complex and politically sensitive projects, contracts and accounts, developing and supervising business development outreach and marketing plans and developing strategic goals for LiVE Expansion, Transit Assistance Grant Program and Special Discount Administrators.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential:

  • Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling ensuring consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Conducts performance reviews and holds employees accountable for optimal performance of their responsibilities.
  • Develops and implements strategic marketing and outreach plans for RTD discount and bulk sales, and tracks and analyzes marketing results. Adapts marketing initiatives as needed.
  • Develops and administers the Transit Assistance Grant program
  • Oversees LiVE Expansion, the income-based discount program 
  • Research and evaluate market trends to identify potential partnerships, promotional opportunities, and innovative discount structures.
  • Work with marketing teams to create campaigns that effectively communicate program benefits to target audiences.
  • Develop strategies to increase program visibility and adoption among key customer groups.
  • Supervises multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously, performs research to identify prospective clients, and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to implement marketing and outreach initiatives.
  • Develops and oversees training on policies, procedures and administration of the discount pass programs.
  • Provides support for annual pass program renewals. 
  • Other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, business development, or program management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. A minimum of five years of experience in client relations providing excellent customer service.
  • A minimum of five years of experience developing marketing, outreach, and public relations strategies and techniques.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Preferred demonstrated fluency in speaking, writing, and reading Spanish or another language covered in RTD's language access plan.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a talent for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven expertise in program development, market research, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, financial analysis, and ROI evaluation.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, marketing software, and reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in auditing, collections, reconciliations, pricing, and invoicing 
  • Proficiency in basic math and statistics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations to internal and external customers at all organization levels.
  • Ability to use sound judgment and maintain the strictest of confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing and prioritizing with attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and strong listening skills.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours (i.e. nights and weekends) and work independently with minimal supervision.

Pay Range:

$84,407.00 - $119,224.25 Annual
