Manager Procurement - Technology (Information Technology)



Job Summary

Oversee, plan, monitor and manage teams supporting indirect procurement and vendor management with a focus on technology.
Ensure departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of processes.
Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction to teams in the Domestic Supply Chain driven by core KPI's. Analyze, resolve, or escalate inventory issues.  Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks of Supply Chain teams meet standards. Confirm SOP's are kept up to date.

  • Ability to analyze exceptions to root cause challenges – identify process gaps, and offer solutions to team members and Sr leaders

  • Communicate to senior management Supply Chain and service issues with short and long term recommendations on resolution

  • Establish contract/renewal pipelines taking into account constraints and input, such as lead time and/or cycle time to drive technology portfolio optimization

  • Provide support to internal technology operations, business operations and corporate services operations as needed

  • Prepare and present forward-looking, future projections of volume, service, planning, demand and capacity.  Manage communication between Teams.

  • Prepare data-driven materials for presentations for a variety of audiences to report against metrics and gauge efficiencies. Implement changes and drive process improvement.

  • Manage vendor relationships and work with other Medline divisions to ensure business success.

Management Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight to professional employees/teams.

  • Day-to-day operations of a group of employees.

  • May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact.

  • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects.

  • Recommend, develop and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.

  • Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.

  • Hire staff, manage performance, train and develop, assess work demands, assign work, meet completion dates, interpret and ensure consistent application of organizational policies.

Required Experience

  • Experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Contract Management, Vendor Management or other relevant business areas.

  • Strong knowledge of IT technologies, including cloud computing, SaaS, and AI.

  • Proficiency in procurement systems and tools.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Knowledge of procurement and vendor management.

  • Demonstrated understanding of license and subscription model variations, managed services, and product implementation statements of work.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to conduct meetings with clients and third parties.

  • Ability to independently find and fix inefficiencies.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent ability to manage multiple competing priorities and flexibility to adjust to changing requirements.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task management, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to help team members and customers embrace policies and procedures.

  • Ability to quickly grasp and explain technological and business concepts.

  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

    Data management and reporting skills.

Preferred Experience

  • APICS

  • At least 2 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work

  • Experience in procurement, inventory planning, and/or demand planning.

  • Experience with SAP and tableau.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
