Systems Administrator (Engineering)

Summary: The System Administrators role is to configure, maintain, and monitor applications and systems to ensure a high level of availability of the supported network environment. This position is critical to ensuring systems are running to keep our manufacturing and support team members productive.Reports to: Infrastructure ManagerLocation: Cincinnati (West Chester)
Responsibilities include:Ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and networks by following best practices IT planning, development, implementation, and maintenance processesManage all aspects of the infrastructure: servers, networking, PCs, telecom services and cell services to ensure uptime during operating hoursAdminister disaster recovery procedures and backup jobs, including periodic testing to validate backups - experience with Datto is a plusManage Hyper-V and Nutanix virtual servers and storage technologies - experience with Storage Spaces Direct is a plusKeep servers updated with current firmware and patchesInstall, configure, upgrade, and support Windows, Mac OSX, Office365, Meraki, AWS Cisco, and Linux hardwareProvide level 2 end-user computer hardware and software support to local and remote users - provide backup level 1 support as volume and schedules requireAssist in the implementation of new technologies in assigned projectsKeep systems, backup and restore procedure documentation current
Required Experience:Experience working as a Systems Administrator at a mid-sized companyWindows Systems experience using server monitoring and reporting tools such as Cisco switches, routers, Meraki firewalls, spam filters, VLANs, Windows Server 2022 or later, Hyper-V, backup/ system recovery, Active Directory, Nutanix, and Cisco OS.Amazon Web Services experience using EC2, RDS databases and microservicesBachelor's degree in computer science, Management information Systems, or related degree is preferred.MCSE, Net +, Sec+, CCNA Preferred
