Performs work associated with the setup and operation of assigned mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Job Details
  • Position Type: Hourly/Non-Exempt, Union
  • Pay Range: $17+ (based on skills and experience)
  • Work Location: Onsite -Farmington Hills, Michigan
Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble basic product parts according to production guidelines and specifications.
  • Set up and operate assigned mechanical equipment
  • Check that items produced pass quality control requirements
  • Perform troubleshooting of equipment and perform adjustments
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Utilize Visual Factory software to complete preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Building boxes for assembly department
  • Manage rag buckets.
  • Support assembly operators by loading & unloading boxes coming off the assembly machines
  • Printing and validating labels
  • Assist with transporting used/replacement tooling between tool room and machines
  • Floor cleaning throughout plant floor
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Required):
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Required to stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required.
  • Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
