What You'll Do

The Event Planner is accountable for successful planning and execution of corporate events, meetings and conferences, including pre-event marketing and post-event follow up.  A positive, sleeves-rolled-up leader who thrives on navigating this rapidly evolving space. Candidate takes pride in their work and meets every deadline. Candidate is passionate about creative collaboration, brand building, and brand application through event marketing. Enthusiastic collaborator with exceptional communication skills.

  • Plan and lead large-scale live events and conferences with multiple agency, vendor, and client involvement
  • Manage and maintain annual event, conferences and meetings budget of $500,000
  • Maintain a database of invitees and attendees to events annually averaging 5,000 people
  • Create program development plan, including strategy to attract attendees, key dates and implementation to assure informative and interesting programs
  • Work cross-functionally with C-Level Executives, creative team, digital team, data team and stakeholders within the organization to create accountability practices, maximize strategic planning and asset development
  • Use innovative marketing strategies to create and execute integrated marketing plans to promote events, utilizing a diverse marketing mix of digital and traditional channels
  • Develop and manage expectations of timelines to ensure deliverables and projects remain on track with stakeholders across the organization
  • Source and research locations and destinations for local and out of town events, conferences and meetings

Qualifications/Skills/Background

  • 3 to 5 years in event, meeting and/or conference programming
  • Experience with event software, including Whova, Social Tables, Spotify and Eventbrite
  • Ability to see the big picture, determine appropriate course of action, delegate to the right people and allocate resources to deliver effective, high quality event execution
  • Experience with large, multi-day/multi-track meetings, conference programs and/or events
  • Good multi-project management, prioritization, time management capacity
  • Travel locally and out of town for assigned events, meetings and conferences
  • Ability to work non-traditional business hours, including before work, evenings, weekends, holiday in and out of town
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality, marketing, communications, event management or a related field or equivalent experience

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $59,000 - $70,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills and experience
