Clinical Research Associate (Finance)



This position typically reports to the principal investigator of a clinical research study. The position may perform evaluation duties in preparation for the project. The position then performs project activities such as overseeing the screening and enrollment of potential clients for a health services protocol, developing materials to communicate the project to potential clients and their families, coordinating site visits and appropriate collection of data, ensuring quality control in the data, and compiling regulatory reports.

SpeechDx is a pre-competitive initiative of leading researchers from academia and industry. The mission is to facilitate the development of speech-based biomarkers to identify potential Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) early on. The program is building a broad and deep dataset of speech data across multiple languages that is longitudinal and linked to individuals who are clinically well-characterized. This initiative will provide researchers with high-quality, harmonized voice and clinical data to develop early and accurate diagnostic technology for ADRD.

By building the world's largest repository of longitudinal, harmonized speech and clinical data for ADRD, SpeechDx is working to overcome the challenges and realize the promise of speech biomarkers.

The University of South Florida is one of 6 national sites for data acquisition for this project.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and one year of professional experience; or Master's degree in an area of specialization appropriate for the program.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

Grow Here .The USF Speech DX project is looking for a Clinical Research Associate to help with patient screening, enrollment and data collection of patients acoustic and clinical data for the Speech Dx project in collaboration with the USF Health Voice Center and the Byrd's Alzheimer's center and research institute at USF. The candidate will help screen clinical schedules for patient enrollment, conduct patient enrollment, participate in consent process and data collection for voice, speech and respiratory sounds and follow patients and families longitudinally for a period of 3-4 years.
