Sr Analyst, Banking Ops (Finance)

Description

Under general supervision, but working independently most of the time, responsible for handling and processing extensive financial transactions. This can include, signature verification, posting payments, deposit review, account adjustments, transaction research, fraud claim management, deposit review, and clearing exceptions. Responsible for transaction reviews, reporting and executing account status changes and maintenance. An understanding of debit/credits, accounting or general ledger is highly recommended.

Handles second day transaction review and inputting decisions to approve or reject. Inspects mobile and ATM deposits that queue in for review. Posts, researches, and reconciles general ledgers. Identifies and resolves client matters within established guidelines. Meets all time sensitive and daily deadline driven tasks. Works effectively with internal and external clients/partners. Knowledgeable of the core aspects of banking and accounting/reconcilement. Strives to become proficient in all areas of the job. Successfully generates, creates and presents formal reports. Proactively assess client needs with initiative and refers more complicated issues to subject matter experts and/or supervisor.

Qualifications -

A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Basic understanding of banking procedures is preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills are required. Excel experience is a plus.
