A Brief Overview

The Material Handler II ensures efficient handling, movement, and coordination of materials within the manufacturing facility, supporting advanced aspects of the production process. This role involves receiving, storing, distributing, and managing materials while adhering to safety and quality standards. Additionally, the Material Handler II serves as a resource for resolving material flow challenges and mentoring less experienced handlers.

What you will do

  • Receives, inspects, and documents incoming materials, identifying discrepancies and coordinating resolution.
  • Stores materials in designated locations, ensuring optimal organization for accessibility and safety.
  • Distributes materials to production areas, addressing and troubleshooting any material shortages.
  • Monitors and ensures inventory accuracy through advanced inventory control practices.
  • Operates a variety of material handling equipment and assists in equipment training for team members.
  • Ensures workspace cleanliness and safety compliance, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Leads or assists with inventory audits, reporting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Coordinates preparation of materials for shipment, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Some duties may vary slightly by location.


Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (Required)


Experience Qualifications

  • 1-3 years in a manufacturing or warehouse setting, including advanced material handling. (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years with inventory management systems and process improvements. (Preferred)
