Instructional Designer
Position Summary:
The Instructional Designer is a key contributor responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and implementation of engaging and effective learning solutions. This role translates complex standard operating procedures, policies, and identified training needs into clear, concise, and impactful learning modules, e-learning courses, and supporting materials. The Instructional Designer will manage the learning management system (LMS) infrastructure, overseeing content uploads, user access, and leveraging data analytics to track participation, assess learning effectiveness, and inform continuous improvement. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles, a keen eye for visual design, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement engaging and interactive learning modules, e-learning content, and blended learning solutions using various instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).

Create visually appealing and effective infographics, slide decks, visual guides, job aids, and communication materials to support awareness campaigns, training sessions, and internal communications.

Develop and maintain consistent branding templates for internal programs and reports, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and brand guidelines.

Assist in the creation and editing of multimedia assets (e.g., short animations, videos, audio recordings) for educational and internal communications purposes, ensuring high quality and accessibility.

Administer and manage the learning management system (LMS), including content uploads, updates, course scheduling, user enrollment, and troubleshooting technical issues.

Analyze learning data, generate comprehensive reports on course completion, performance metrics, and learning outcomes, and provide insights for program optimization.

Partner closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) across various departments to conduct needs assessments, gather content, and design training solutions that are accurate, relevant, and aligned with operational objectives.

Support the continuous improvement cycle of learning materials and programs based on learner feedback, performance data, and emerging best practices in instructional design.

Build, maintain, and update internal web pages (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, intranet sites) to organize, curate, and disseminate security-related resources, policies, and procedures.

Publish timely updates, news, and announcements related to security program developments, employee recognition, and organizational events on internal communication platforms.

Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in instructional design, e-learning, and adult education to recommend innovative learning solutions.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards and project scope.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or equivalent experience in a related field.

Proven experience (3+ years) in instructional design and e-learning development, preferably within a corporate or large organizational setting.

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Demonstrated expertise in administering and managing various learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).

Strong understanding and application of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and evaluation methodologies.

Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) for creating engaging visual content.

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights for learning program improvement.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Knowledge of web content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence) is a plus.
