Temporary Teaching Laboratory Assistant (Finance)



This position will assist the Teaching Lab Manager and Course Directors for Anatomy in the medical curriculum courses. This involves the maintenance of human cadaveric material and its acquisition from the State Anatomical Board under the supervision of the Lab Manager.

This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Minimum Qualifications:
  • This position requires high school and two years of work experience in instructional or laboratory work.
  • College coursework may be substituted for the required experience.

SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
  • Two years of direct experience for an associate degree
  • Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree
  • Six years of direct experience for a master's degree

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree and one year of anatomy lab experience.
  • One year of experience with medical school curriculum and cadavers.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:
4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

  • Preparation and maintenance of material for teaching and research
  • Maintain cadaveric material to assure the quality of dissection
  • Maintain tracking and other information pertaining to cadaveric material
  • Cleaning and storage of all dissection equipment, dissection tanks, and related equipment
  • Maintain other teaching materials such as skeletons, bone boxes, plastic embedded materials, and anatomical models.
  • Working with and assisting faculty in teaching-related activities. This includes medical, graduate, and physical therapy students. Working with faculty to set up and clean up before and after each teaching activity, including electives and special events.
  • Maintain inventory of all teaching materials, chemicals, and supplies used to maintain the lab and teaching materials. Order supplies as needed.
  • Other duties as needed
