We believe that being in-office together strengthens relationships, builds trust, and fosters teamwork, creating a culture where both careers and our company thrive. Currently, our in-office schedule is Tuesday through Thursday in our beautiful, newly renovated, historic building in downtown Milwaukee at 648 N. Plankinton Avenue. Beginning September 1, 2025, we will transition to an in-office schedule of Monday through Thursday, with Friday as an optional work-from-home day, balancing collaboration and flexibility. Additionally, our dress code is always Business Casual, ensuring a professional yet comfortable work environment.

Summary - basic function of the role

The Vice President, Finance - Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) is a key strategic leader responsible for driving financial performance, business insights, and long-range planning within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role oversees the company's budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and decision support activities. The VP of FP&A partners closely with operations, supply chain, commercial teams, and executive leadership to deliver meaningful analysis that supports business growth, margin expansion, and operational efficiency.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the corporate FP&A function, overseeing strategic planning, annual budgeting, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial modeling.
  • Serve as the financial business partner in the formulation and execution of business strategy
  • Develop and maintain robust financial dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics to drive accountability across business units.
  • Hire, lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team, ensuring effective collaboration, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Prioritization and building of the Finance function and developing key leaders and talent within the function is key
  • Collaborate with commercial and product teams to assess pricing strategies, customer profitability, and go-to-market investment returns.
  • Partner with manufacturing operations to analyze plant performance, cost structures, productivity trends, and capital investment returns.
  • Design and implement budget and planning processes that meet and enable the needs of business groups.
  • Support executive leadership with scenario modeling, risk analysis, and investment decisions that align with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Manage the monthly and quarterly business performance reviews, including variance analysis and board-level reporting.
  • Ensure alignment of financial plans with broader business strategies including supply chain, R&D, and capital planning.
  • Provide recommendations and analytic support to strategic corporate initiatives and projects, presentations, complex scenarios analyses, financial modeling, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance forecasting accuracy, data transparency, and business agility.
  • Serve as a thought partner to the CFO and executive team, contributing to enterprise-wide financial leadership and transformation initiatives.

Skills and Competencies
  • Strong ability to lead and manage resources in Shared Services / COEs
  • Strong strategic financial leadership skills and experience with public companies
  • Knowledge and experience with global regulations affecting the finance function and business across various global regions and within manufacturing industry
  • Excellent, clear, concise communication skills, capable of presenting complex financial information in an easy-to-understand format and at all levels of an organization from Executive/Board level to entire organization
  • Strong business partnering skills, decision making as well as analytical thinking
  • Results driven as well as strong knowledge and leadership with change management
  • Must be able to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a leader and coach at all levels of the organization
  • Impeccable integrity and confidentiality

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior FP&A leadership role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Deep understanding of cost accounting, manufacturing performance metrics, and capital investment analysis.
  • Experience in M&A and complex transactions
  • Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance through data-driven insights, cross-functional influence, and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership presence with a track record of developing and mentoring finance professionals.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and advanced financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Power BI).

Work Environment

Primary work environment is temperature controlled office setting but may also be visiting different manufacturing facilities where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. Employee will experience varying levels of noise based on the location.
