Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; 3-4 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires complete knowledge of all processes, tooling, material and quality requirements and safe work procedures within the department to which assigned.
  • Prefer knowledge in setting up and operating all equipment in the department.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in the area of communications, dependability and teamwork.

Benefits/Salary:

The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $23.86 to $40.57.Summary:

Under the general direction of a supervisor or manager, assists in giving work assignments and direction to other workers to ensure attainment of the EHS, production, and quality objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs daily work order scheduling in department(s) to which assigned.
  • Determines other material requirements and availability for the areas assigned. Ensures proper material has been provided for each work order.
  • Assists in assigning scheduled work to all members of the department and directs workers towards the economical completion of their assignment.
  • Performs layouts and/or set-ups when machines are in the department, as required.
  • Updates department daily management board
  • Ensures first articles are filled out correctly and conduct Tier 2 inspection of other operators to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
  • Helps instruct and monitor S.P.C. charting, as required.
  • Walks shop floor to ensure all employees are maintaining productivity standards.
  • Assists supervisor in the shop floor training of employees on safety, tooling and production requirements (Not authorized to conduct Toolbox training.)
  • Advises supervisor of significant difficulties and corrections.
  • Recommends repair, maintenance, or replacement of equipment. Performs minor repairs, routine maintenance, and adjustments as required to maintain equipment in operational order i.e. Autonomous Maintenance.
  • Maintains an "alertness" for unsafe working conditions and initiates immediate action for their correction. Verifies all operators are properly filling out Daily/Weekly Preventative Maintenance Task on machines.
  • Inspects the work area at the start of each shift for overall working conditions.
  • Reports all accidents immediately to EHS and the supervisor or manager, initiates Triple I or E's, and IFE's. Will recommend and implement corrective action as appropriate.
  • Promotes ABS
  • Ensures work areas are kept clean, safe and in an orderly fashion on a continuous basis.
  • Parts to be lifted and/or transported may weigh up to 30 lbs.
  • Runs machines 51% or more of the time.
  • Performs other tasks of equal or lesser skill as required.
