Clinical Coordinator (Personal Services)

Reports to Clinical Director

Responsibilities:

  • Assists Clinical Director/BCBA with oversight of all clinical services within BCL's Residential and Community Based Day Supports program, Shared Living, In Home Supports, and other programs as assigned
  • Visits the various programs per the clinical schedule, to observe staff and individuals' interactions, assess the environments, and conduct fidelity checks
  • Completes all required documentation via the electronic record keeping system, ensures that staff complete daily notes and accurately record all data, provides training where needed
  • Identifies areas where additional staff training and modeling are needed and develops and conducts training for staff and management
  • Spearheads the agency's Assistive Technology initiative: oversees the assessment process, arranges for professional consultation where needed, provides training for management and staff, ensures consistent implementation of recommended devices and strategies and maintains all documentation pertaining to AT
  • Serves as a driving force behind our agency-wide Positive Behavior Support program by guiding and supporting the implementation of our established strategies, trains and coaches staff working with individuals who exhibit challenging behavior, collects and analyzes data to gauge effectiveness of interventions
  • Serves as a non-voting member of our Human Rights Committee and attends quarterly meetings
  • Assists with conducting functional behavior assessments and collaborates with stakeholders in development of behavioral interventions
  • Participates in clinical meetings for all programs
  • Acts as a Safety Care Trainer (crisis intervention and de-escalation, training to be provided) and reinforces the principles across settings
  • Creates and conducts trainings and runs groups for the individuals at our Community Based Day program based on the specific needs of this population
  • Participates in the development and implementation of group social activities across the agency
  • Facilitates mindfulness meditation groups and other wellness groups within the agency (training provided as necessary)
  • Support individuals in creating and enhancing relationships
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework/experience
  • At least 3 years of experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Experience providing training to employees
  • Experience implementing behavior support plans and data collection systems
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and other agency-related software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Human Services related field (or pursuing)
  • BCBA certification (or pursuing)
  • Training/coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Experience writing behavior support plans
  • Experience conducting Functional Behavior Assessments
  • PBS (Positive Behavior Supports) training

Salary: $65,000 to $82,000
