Senior Account Executive, Health Digital (Finance)

Edelman has an opportunity for a Senior Account Executive to join our talented and award-winning Health Digital team in DC, New York, Chicago, Atlanta or Miami. The Health Digital team is a fast-paced, hybrid team of practitioners spanning everything from digital and social strategy to execution.

The successful candidate will be a passionate digital strategist with hands-on digital marketing and communications experience. You are part strategist, part practitioner (a "do-er"). You can provide insightful strategic recommendations to our clients based on your knowledge of what it takes to execute at the highest level in health communications.

Responsibilities

    • Partner with senior digital leaders to develop digital strategies for health clients that convey critical information in a compelling way across a range of digital channels (web, social, paid media, sponsored content, etc.)
    • Demonstrate tactical proficiency in digital and social strategy, including creating and driving integrated execution plans; consistently produce high-quality digital communications content
    • Serve as daily client contact and digital/social strategist; address client issues thoughtfully and effectively
    • Oversee all stages of the digital content production process including coordinating process between Creative Director, Art Director, Copywriter, Producer, and Project Manager to create static and video social content for various pharma product milestones, congresses, campaigns, and more; participate in review and quality control of all social content
    • Partner with analytics team to develop results reports and learning agenda for social content
    • Build relationships with internal specialists (paid media, content, creative, planning, analytics, etc.) and senior stakeholders to meet client needs
    • Collaborate with account teammates on the submission of materials to through the client's medical, legal, and regulatory review process, ensuring that deadlines are met
    • Be an expert in the latest digital platforms and best practices to translate strategies effectively within the digital ecosystem
    • Counsel clients and troubleshoot client and internal issues
    • Oversee operational performance of accounts, ensuring quality work, deadline, and budget adherence
    • Demonstrate writing excellence when crafting internal and client materials and correspondence
    • Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
    • Take ownership of the role; show interest in every part of the process; show initiative to continually improve processes and quality of team's work

Basic Qualifications

    • At least 3-4 years of relevant experience in digital marketing and/or related fields including communications, advertising, public relations, media and publishing within the healthcare industry
    • Experience working with healthcare and/or pharmaceutical companies
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • Broad understanding of digital marketing/communications for health brands, social media strategy, the latest trends and changes in digital as well as government policies regulating the health care industry

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience effectively managing multiple sizable accounts (including financials) and serving as the daily client contact simultaneously
    • Superior written and verbal communications skills with the proven ability to consistently make sounds judgments and effectively motivate and manage teams
    • Proven ability to manage large projects (including budgets) and teams simultaneously, function as a daily client contact, as well as develop and execute plans to meet client goals
    • Experience distilling complex scientific or medical language into simple communications
    • Demonstrated ability to delegate and accurately judge and edit the work of others. They should have excellent written and verbal communications skills and comfort and experience in delivering outstanding client service.
    • Experience working with pharmaceutical companies and possess familiarity navigating medical, legal, and regulatory review processes

$60,000 - $84,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
