ERP Operations Specialist (Information Technology)

ERP Data Specialist

Job Summary:
The ERP Data Specialist is focused on upload and maintenance of ERP Product data, ensuring it is clean and accurate. Primary responsibilities include entering, maintaining, and guaranteeing the accuracy of our ERP master data, such as BOMs, item information, and routings, and assuring this information accurately reflects the material and processes in our warehouse and manufacturing floor. This position will be part of the Operations team reporting directly to the Materials Director. The ideal candidate is highly organized and can thrive in a busy environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain items, routings, and bills of material within the OdooERP system
  • Support R&D and Configurator Teams by managing documentation for experimental and newly released products
  • Assist in enhancing departmental efficiencies through the implementation of engineering documents and procedures
  • Create and maintain items, routings, and bills of material for ongoing sales requests and custom product requests
  • Assist the Configurator team with bills of material for newly released products
  • Coordinate communication across all departments for item set-ups and ERP data maintenance
  • Document results and findings clearly in written form
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work with internal stakeholders to drive efficiency, quality, and accuracy of ERP master data:

  • Responsible for the upload and maintenance of ERP product data (Item Masters, BOM's and Product Configurations, etc.) and assure the accuracy of all changes
  • Participate in the change order process and new product introduction, taking responsibility for ERP related activities
  • Provide input and guidance to the other departments on the most efficient ways to structure change requests as they relate to the release and maintenance of data in the ERP system
  • Participate in continuous cycle counting and yearly inventory audits with the goal of fully reporting discrepancies
  • Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors
  • Train as a back-up in the inventory department

Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of related job experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of ERP data management, including Item Type Templates, Bills of Materials, and Routers
  • Experience with mass upload techniques for ERP data updates
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and attention to detail
  • Experience with ERP master data in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of the change order process
  • Understanding of warehouse and manufacturing operations
  • Attention to detail in data entry and in physical observation
  • Experience with Excel is required and ability to learn reporting and transactions in various on premise and cloud-based business systems (ERP, eQMS, CRM, etc.)
