Position Summary:

Assists with recruitment of participants at farmers' markets and grocery stores. Assists with data collection through the administration of surveys, which may involve conducting pre/post and weekly surveys over the phone with participants, and entering data in RedCap. Conducting qualitative interviews may be required. Assists with data analyses and reports.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Recruit study participants at farmers' markets and grocery stores
  • Establishes rapport with study participants in order to encourage complete accurate responses in surveys and interviews (when appropriate)
  • Works in the field by going to farmers' markets and grocery stores in central and west Texas
  • Data entry of surveys may be required
  • Transcription of interviews may be required
  • Handles administrative details (ex. time and effort reports, mileage reports)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

  • Trained by project manager or principal on techniques to interview, complete questionnaires, and operate equipment. May need to be bilingual.

Minimum Education:
  • High School diploma

Minimum Experience:
  • Two years related experience with emphasis on public contact.
  • May substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code ยง 51.215

Residency Requirement:
