UX Designer (Creative Design)



Position Purpose:
· As a Designer with BM Technologies, Inc., you will be tasked with crafting innovative, end-to-end user experiences for our digital-first banking platform and financial products. You will work closely with internal and partner stakeholders, as well as cross-functional teams, to define, design, and continuously refine our digital customer experiences. The channels you will design for include our mobile apps, websites, push notifications, and emails. Your role will be pivotal in shaping seamless, user-friendly experiences that meet both business goals and user needs, ensuring that our products stand out in the competitive landscape of digital banking.

Primary Responsibilities:
· Craft design solutions that address business, brand, and user requirements for both app and web experiences, ensuring consistency across platforms.
· Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and the details of the user-centered design process to stakeholders and teams.
· Define and collaborate on UX and UI requirements with cross-functional teams to execute a cohesive and consistent experience across systems.
· Participate in usability studies, directly collect user feedback, and iterate designs based on insights to improve user experience.
· Design and build wireframes, user flows, storyboards, prototypes, and other UX/UI deliverables, ensuring a smooth user journey.
· Create and maintain product information architecture and UI patterns, contributing to the development and evolution of an active design system.
· Work closely with engineering teams to deliver the final product, ensuring design integrity and quality throughout the development process.
· Develop exceptional, competitive user experiences that stand out in the market, continuously pushing the boundaries of design excellence.

· Compliance and Security Risks: Poor design can lead to vulnerabilities, such as exposed data or user errors during transactions, potentially breaching regulatory standards.
· Accessibility Non-Compliance: Failing to meet accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG) can result in legal repercussions and exclusion of certain user groups.
· User Frustration and Abandonment: Cluttered or confusing interfaces may cause users to abandon online banking or switch to competitors.

Key Relationships:
· Routine interaction with Front End developers and Marketing team members

Time management to accommodate multiple deadlines, various reporting hierarchy's and competing schedules
Ability to deliver designs on numerous regulatory subjects in an informative style that ensures understanding of the subject matter

Ability to exercise self-control and work under stressful conditions, particularly in deadline situations

Job Specifications:
Position adheres to confidentiality policy, code of ethics and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and best practices and other pertinent Regulatory laws and regulations.
Required:

2+ years as a professional user experience designer, with proven expertise in creating exceptional user-centered designs
Strong experience with interaction design principles and tools, including wireframes, personas, and mental models.
Expertise in leveraging responsive and adaptive UI designs effectively across various devices and platforms.
Solid grasp of web design best practices, principles, and up-to-date knowledge of web and mobile technologies.
Experience working in teams that use Agile methodologies to deliver iterative, user-focused designs.
Proficiency in UI design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Axure RP, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
A strong online portfolio demonstrating your design deliverables, including user flows, wireframes, and screen designs.

Preferred:
· 2+ years proven experience as a professional UX Designer or in a similar title/role.
· Knowledge of and proficiency with additional UI design and prototyping tools such Figma, Sketch, or Axure RP
· A B.S. or higher in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Human Factors, or equivalent field/experience.
· Proficient visual design capabilities and a natural sense for connecting brand language with product requirement

Understands and adheres to Workplace Policies, Code of Conduct, privacy, and information security guidelines. Understands and adheres to Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and Compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act policies and procedures applicable to position, completing any supporting requirements within defined timeframes. Acts within authorized limits and delegated authorities and role applicable policies and procedures. Follows processes and controls to protect shareholder interests. Mitigates risk to the bank and customers by following all applicable security procedures.
