Arthrex Manufacturing Inc. is actively searching for a Packaging Cleanroom Specialist (Monday through Thursday, 7:30 pm to 6 am) at the Pendleton, SC location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products desired.
  • A thorough knowledge of packaging processes, product assembly, visual inspection, packaging, and labeling requirements.
  • Must have the ability to perform tasks by reading, understanding and following work instructions/documents provided.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret/comprehend written specifications, and packaging and assembly work instructions.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for manufacturing of products.
  • Basic understanding of BOMs and Routers and their use for manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of GMPs and DHR content.
  • Possess thorough and accurate documentation skills according to GDP for setup and operation of the sealers.
  • Understanding of inventory traceability, production processes, inspections, label reconciliation processes, and other techniques for effective manufacturing, distribution, and traceability of products.
  • Ability to perform machine setup, verifies validated parameters, determination/ installation and use of appropriate tooling.
  • Ability to perform testing.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of tenure at Arthrex required.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently when necessary.
  • Able to determine materials and tools required to perform the operation(s).
  • Can perform different tasks/operation required to manufacture the product.
  • Creative thinker and is able to suggest process improvements and problem solve.
  • Able to use inspection tools and measuring devices to assure quality of product.
  • Proficiency in use of computer to be able to execute assigned tasks (training, printing of manufacturing documents, completion of HR-related tasks, etc.)

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Potential training / assignment to the operation of some automated equipment, winding, attaching machines, label printing, weigh scales, label dispenser machine, manual sealers, cleaning machine, and general test equipment, etc.

Physical Demands:

Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 lbs. Able to manually suture assemblies, operate various equipment such as needle crimpers, skeining machines, Auto Tip and Cutter, laser cutter and other suture manufacturing equipment, etc. as assigned. Able to work in a cleanroom environment.

A cleanroom is a controlled environment where products are manufactured, in which the concentration of airborne particles is controlled to specified limits. These contaminants are generated by people, processes, facilities, and equipment and must be continually removed from the air. Strict rules and procedures are followed to prevent contamination of the product. The only way to control contamination is to control the total environment- air flow rates and direction, pressurization, temperature, humidity, specialized filtration and the sources of these particles all need to be tightly controlled. Temperature ranges from 69F-73F. Hearing protection will be required.
