Position Summary:

The Research Coordinator I is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of research studies under the supervision of a Principal Investigator (PI) or senior research staff. This role involves coordinating study activities, ensuring compliance with research protocols and regulatory requirements, and serving as a point of contact for study participants and team members.

Position Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist with planning, implementation, and coordination of research projects.
  • Screen, Recruit, and consent study participants in accordance with IRB protocols.
  • Schedule and conduct study visits, interviews, assessments, or data collection.
  • Enter, manage, and verify study data in secure databases.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including study records, case report forms within REDCAP
  • Assist with IRB submissions, renewals, and protocol amendments.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and communicate with participants, research team members, clinical staff, and external partners as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to study protocols, ethical standards, and institutional and federal guidelines.
  • Support literature reviews, basic statistical analysis, and preparation of study materials or reports, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Certification/Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.

Minimum Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.

  • None

Physical Requirements:

Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
This position may include work involving potentially hazardous chemical, biological or radioactive agents.
