Executive Director, Hemophilia (Finance)

Vitalant is hiring an Executive Director for our Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania (HCWP).

The Hemophilia Center of Western Pennsylvania is one of about 140 hemophilia treatment centers nationwide but stands out as one of the larger centers offering comprehensive multidisciplinary care and support for patients throughout their lifetime. As the Executive Director, you'll get to:
  • Spend time interacting with teams on-site.
  • Advocate and raise awareness for people with hemophilia.
  • Collaborate and develop a vision for future service expansion to address long-term patient needs, including new treatments and specialties.
  • Oversee hosted events, (i.e. Kids camp) ensuring 24/7 medical support and recruiting necessary personnel.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent required in business, social sciences, health, or relevant field required.
  • Knowledge of operational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set, and achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget required.
  • Knowledge of rare diseases /bleeding disorders preferred.
  • Knowledge of 340B funding preferred.
Ten years of healthcare or nonprofit related experience required. To include:
  • Five years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience effectively leading and scaling a performance and outcomes-based organization and staff; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies required.
  • Past success working with a Board of Directors and experience successfully cultivating existing board member relationships required.
  • Experience managing expectations of stakeholders including Board, industry sponsors, and national and state bleeding disorders organizations including successfully and quickly triaging issues as they arise and managing shifting priorities, required.
  • Experience with HTC operations preferred.
