Quality Engineer (Project Management)

The Quality Engineer serves as a key technical liaison for global customer accounts, supporting manufacturing and quality initiatives across internal teams and external partners. This role ensures effective implementation of quality systems, supports new product introductions, and leads continuous improvement efforts.

Candidates should have strong experience with computer servers and rack systems, with a preference for familiarity with liquid-cooled systems and advanced troubleshooting skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) plans to support global new product introductions using Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and process optimization.

  • Collaborate on initial quoting activities, providing input during the design and development phases of manufacturing processes.

  • Design and improve inspection processes, including creation of inspection aids and instructional documentation.

  • Support global training programs specific to customer requirements; develop and deliver specialized training content across relevant functions.

  • Establish and maintain organized systems for document management across global customer accounts.

  • Analyze discrepancies from suppliers, internal operations, or customers, and lead corrective and preventive action efforts to closure.

  • Conduct regular audits of documentation and quality records to ensure compliance and accessibility.

  • Participate in supplier assessments and collaborate with vendors to promote proactive process improvements.

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to uphold compliance with Jabil's policies and procedures.

  • Provide technical support and act as a customer-facing quality representative to address and resolve issues efficiently.

  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement in global manufacturing processes.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and security policies as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in quality engineering or manufacturing; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Strong technical knowledge of computer servers and rack systems.

  • Experience with liquid-cooled systems is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, IPC, etc.) and quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, and 8D methodology.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with cross-functional teams and global customers
