About the Role As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial machinery and equipment. Your responsibilities will include fabricating, installing, repairing, maintaining, dismantling, adjusting, and assembling machinery used in production. This position requires hands-on experience with engines, motors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, conveyors, and various industrial packaging machinery. Your job duties/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to
Installation and Repair:Installing and repairing industrial machinery and equipment using basic hand and power tools.
Technical Work:Performing tasks in accordance with drawings, diagrams, sketches, operational manuals, manufacturer specifications, and related documentation.
Blueprint Reading:Reading and interpreting standard prints, sketches, and dimensional tolerances.
Welding:Welding mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using MIG, TIG, Stick, and oxy-acetylene equipment.
Fabrication Certification:Annual certification for fabrication equipment, including press brake, shear, power rollers, and iron worker.
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Eligible to work in the United States and for the Altria family of companies
Available to work three (3) day / 12-hour shifts and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays
Must possess five (5) or more years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial/manufacturing environment or equivalent related military experience; completed a recognized apprenticeship program. i.e. Machinist, Millwright or certified Welder; or completed technical school, equivalent military technical training or an industrial technology degree at an accredited school, college, or university
Ability and experience in high precision, close tolerance measurement machinery
Ability to diagnose cause of malfunctions in industrial machines
Ability to help our production teams drive innovation
