Senior CIAM Architect (Finance)



We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior CIAM Architect to play a critical role in shaping the future of our customer identity and access management landscape, with a strong emphasis on B2B solutions. This individual will be responsible for defining architectural patterns, providing technical leadership, and driving successful implementations. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in the CIAM space, a strong understanding of modern security principles, and proven experience in architecting complex B2B identity solutions for enterprise-level organizations.

To adhere to our corporate location policies, this resource will be required to be local to the surrounding Atlanta, GA . You are required to adhere to our Return To Office (RTO) / weekly onsite requirements (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).

What you will do

  • Designing and Implementing CIAM Solutions: Developing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure IAM architectures to meet our global product needs. This includes:
    • Develop and document CIAM architecture patterns, standards, and guidelines for application development teams.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on CIAM-related projects, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices.
    • Design and implement complex identity and access management solutions for our B2B clients, addressing intricate organizational structures, authorization models, and integration requirements.
    • Creating and enforcing IAM policies, custom roles, managing service accounts, leveraging Organization policies.
    • Defining and managing IAM policies (identity-based, resource-based, SCPs), IAM roles, users, groups, and instance profiles.
  • Identity Governance: Designing identity governance processes, entitlement management, and user lifecycle management (provisioning, de-provisioning).
  • Integration: Collaborating with development, operations, and security teams to seamlessly integrate IAM solutions with product applications and services.
  • Automation: Leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation for AWS) for automating CIAM configurations and deployments.
  • Training and Guidance: Providing guidance and training to technical teams on GCP & AWS IAM principles, new features, best practices and emerging threats in cloud security.
  • Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive documentation of CIAM architectures, policies, and procedures.

What experience you need
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science/Information Technology
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in architecting and implementing large-scale Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) platforms.
  • Deep and demonstrable expertise with modern IAM protocols and standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML..
  • Significant hands-on experience with Ping Identity products (e.g., PingAIC, PingOne) is highly preferred and will be a significant advantage.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks related to IAM, policy management, and reporting..
