Position Summary

Tilcon NY is seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to lead and inspire our electrical maintenance team. In this critical role, you'll champion a culture of safety, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the reliability of our electrical systems across operations. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture

  • Build and lead a high-performing team aligned with Tilcon's core values: Safety, Integrity, and Quality.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture with a goal of ZERO incidents.
  • Mentor and develop team members to foster accountability, engagement, and growth.
Operational Excellence
  • Oversee all aspects of electrical maintenance, including planning, scheduling, and execution of preventive and corrective work.
  • Minimize downtime by implementing efficient workflows and project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Customer & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality service and support.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to operational issues and customer needs.
Performance & Strategy
  • Set clear team goals and KPIs aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that drive performance and reliability.
  • Manage budgets, procurement of parts and materials, and vendor relationships.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Master Electrician License required.
  • Minimum 10 years of electrical maintenance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, 70B, and 70E standards.
Skills & Competencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Work Environment & Requirements
  • Combination of office and field work; exposure to outdoor weather and mechanical environments.
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • PPE required in designated areas (e.g., safety glasses, hard toe shoes, hearing protection).
