Position Summary
Terrasmart is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for 400 employees. This role supports HR in managing timely and accurate payroll processing, benefits reporting, and tax compliance-with a focus on certified payrolls and multi-state requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process biweekly (salary) and weekly (hourly) payroll and manage timekeeping systems (ADP, UKG, Exaktime)
- Handle certified payroll submissions (WH-347s) for government/compliance reporting
- Manage multi-state payroll tax setup, deductions, and filings
- Lead payroll integration during acquisitions
- Prepare payroll reports: headcount, turnover, 401(k), benefits, etc.
- Supervise 2 team members focused on reporting and payroll support
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in a related field
- 3 years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state and certified payroll
- 2 years of experience in UKG and Exaktime experience (or similar payroll/timekeeping software)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Prior experience migrating to a new HRIS/Payroll systems a plus
