Acoustics Lead, Engineer VI (Finance)

Your role:

This role has two key components.

Responsible for establishing, maintaining and growing an Acoustics presence in the US market. In this role, the person is responsible for: managing clients and stakeholders, winning new work, leading projects, and managing the development and welfare of staff. The person is responsible for meeting the regional sales target and other key growth metrics.

Providing leadership support and collaborative project delivery for the US Acoustics group, including contributing to group strategy, staff welfare, resources, and research & development. This role will form part of the HPBG (High Performance Buildings Group) Acoustics Global Collaboration Group.

This role will make a difference to our business and team in the following ways:

• Lead the Acoustics component of projects, applying deep technical knowledge and skills on design and construction projects, including large/complex projects. May act as a Project Leader responsible for project performance.

• Enhance client relationships, improve market standing, and secure new work via relationship building, networking, client presentations and submissions, and proactive early project involvement.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering

• Professional Engineer license

• Minimum 10 years relevant professional engineering/consulting experience across the full project lifecycle and responsibility for delivering projects.

• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate information of a complex nature both verbally and in writing with all stakeholders across multiple disciplines including colleagues and clients.

• Ability to lead, manage and affect change and handle ambiguity.

• Diplomatically astute with team members and clients.

• Ability to exercise well-developed problem-solving skills and use substantial initiative and judgement to work independently to meet objectives.

• Demonstrated knowledge of best practice in Acoustic design, particularly concerning the built environment.

• Possess well-developed understanding of the following:

• Global, National, and State Acoustics policy, legislation, and industry affecting market trends.

• Global Acoustics Group service streams and offerings.

• Local/Global Standards and Construction Code.

• Role may require domestic or international travel for short periods.

• Role requires active participation in group-wide virtual meetings and forums. This will require occasional participation outside of typical business hours.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

This role can be performed from a wide range of locations throughout the US. The pay range for this position is between $190,000 and $210,000 annually. However, pay offered may vary depending on primary work location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal parity.
