We are looking for an exceptional Sr R&D Manager - Quantum and Optical Sensing to lead and develop a talented team of scientists and technicians developing the next generation of advanced sensing technologies for Honeywell Aerospace. You will leverage your technical experience and skills to guide your team to investigate and solve challenging technical problems in inertial sensing, timing, and quantum sensing. You will use your leadership skills to motivate teams and develop people to their fullest. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will balance team workload and drive exceptional team performance with high impact for the business.As a Senior R&D Manager at Honeywell, you will provide leadership to multiple R&D teams, oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple R&D projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation and strategic business objectives to deliver cutting-edge solutions.YOU MUST HAVE
- Master's Degree in science, engineering or related technical field, significant experience in engineering or R&D
- 10+ years overall scientific or engineering R&D experience
- Due to government contracts, all applicants must be US Citizens.

- PhD degree in science, engineering or related technical field
- Technical management experience.
- History of technology development in the field of quantum sensing and timing, optical sensing, and/or silicon photonics
- Demonstrated success working with internal customers and pursuing externally funded development efforts

- Reliable and trustworthy with the highest ethical standards
- Flexible working across cultures and time zones
- Significant project or line management experience
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop and mentor others
- Security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
