Administrative Assistant (in person only) (Finance)



The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is looking for a full-time, Administrative Assistant to work in person, in our San Diego office. This position is not remote.

Your Role:
Responsibilities include administrative and clerical support such as:

• Answering front desk phones and managing office phone system
• Word processing and document production support for environmental and engineering reports and proposals
• Scheduling meetings and supporting planning office events
• Maintaining all copiers in working order
• Assisting new employees with ordering business cards, phone/computer set-up, key access, and office supplies
• Performing various accounts payable duties and assisting with expense reports.
• Ordering office supplies

This position is Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, in the San Diego office. This is not a remote position.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of receptionist or administrative support experience working in an office setting and at least 6 months of experience working with an environmental consulting firm. You will also have / be:
• Proficient with MS Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat is required
• Able to prioritize tasks and information flow and have excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Excellent mathematical skills
• Ability to effectively use a computer and software
• Knowledge of basic office administration principles
• Able to maintain confidentiality of information
• Knowledge of and ability to practice proper business etiquette over the phone and in person
• Ability to listen actively to instructions and carry out assigned tasks
• Able to keep track of deadlines and meet them
• Strong attention to detail
• A positive, "can-do" attitude
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Experience with formatting or document production of NAVFAC environmental documents preferred

Degree / Certifications
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Work Environment
The work environment consists of working in an office.
• The physical demands of this position require the ability to exert up to 20 lbs. of force frequently.
• Physical demands are in excess of those of sedentary work.
• Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree.

The Salary Range for this position is $25.00/hour - $27.00/hour, depending on education, experience, skills, and location.
